Description
(1) To provide in the interests of social welfare within the council ward of West Glasgow ('the operating area') (but with a primary focus on the Partick community in Glasgow, which shall apply to each reference in this clause to the operating area) facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation of the young people with the objective of improving their conditions of life. (2) To advance education through the promotion of the arts, particularly among young people resident in the operating area. (3) To relieve poverty, primarily among young people resident in the operating area. (4) To provide or promote training to young people, particularly in such skills as will assist the participants in obtaining paid employment. (5) To promote and protect the wellbeing and physical health of young people resident in the operating area, and to assist in the relief of ill health and the provision of health education for such residents. (6) To relieve the needs of young people (and particularly those resident in the operating area) who suffer from mental and/or physical disability, illness or impairment or have particular needs by reason of current or past drug, solvent and/or alcohol abuse, and their carers and families. (7) To preserve, for the benefit of young people, the historical, architectural and constructional heritage that may exist in or around the operating area, in buildings (including any structure or erection, and any part of a building as so defined) of particular beauty or historical, architectural and constructional interest. (8) To promote, establish, operate and/or support any other charitable projects or initiatives for the benefit of the community within the operating area.
