Description

The Charity’s objects (“Objects”) are specifically restricted to the following:- To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Saintfield and surrounding area (the “area of benefit”) without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, political, religious or other opinion by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary, community and private sector organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to: (1) promote village renewal and regeneration, maintain, improve or provide public amenities and otherwise improve the appearance of the area of benefit and the quality of life of its inhabitants; (2) promote sustainable development for the benefit of the public and the local community by: (a) protecting and enhancing the natural and built environment; (b) promoting sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration; (3) promote culture and heritage and raise awareness of local history; (4) sustain and improve the local economy through the promotion of tourism and opportunities for cultural and recreational activities for all age groups; (5) promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined; (6) promote co-operation and partnership working between community and voluntary groups, public and statutory agencies and bodies and private sector organisations to help achieve these Objects.
