4The organisation is established charitable purposes, and in particular, the Purposes are: 4.1 To provide relief to women, children and young people, who have suffered or are still experiencing domestic and sexual abuse so they can be active citizens who are achieving, resilient, respected, responsible and included by: 4.1.1 providing safe, temporary accommodation away from abusers. 4.1.2 providing time, safe space and information for women, children and young people who are experiencing domestic abuse. 4.1.3 providing structured supportive opportunities to allow women, children and young people to make choices for their future. 4.1.4 liaising with other services, including the police, education, NHS and other organisations on behalf of the women, children and young people experiencing domestic and sexual abuse. 4.1.5 providing support and information on access to other services. 4.1.6 advocating for women, children and young people affected by domestic and sexual abuse within legal and other protection services. 4.2 To promote equality and diversity by: 4.2.1 upholding and promoting the rights of all women, children and young people regardless of ethnicity, religion or cultural background, who are or have experienced domestic and sexual abuse in the belief that violence against women, is symptomatic of wider structural inequalities in society. 4.2.2 educating the public, the media, education, police, NHS and other agencies about the dynamics of domestic and sexual abuse. 4.2.3 encouraging research into the causes, prevention, long-term impact and relief of victims of domestic and sexual abuse. 4.2.4 providing opportunities for women, children and young people to shape the development of services, policy and practice.
