What is an organisation identifier?
An organisation identifier is a unique piece of text that definitively identifies an organisation.
Examples include charity numbers and company numbers.
Identifiers are usually assigned by an external body like a regulator.
Findthatcharity uses the Org ID scheme to create identifiers.
GB-SC gives the scheme for this identifier (Scottish Charity Register), while SC042625 is the identifier for this organisation within the scheme.
Description
TO PREVENT/RELIEVE POVERTY. THE BASICS food BANK AIMS TO REACH OUT TO PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY WHO ARE EXPERIENCING A TIME OF CRISIS. WE ACCEPT THEM FORWHO THEY ARE AND WHERE THEY FIND THEMSELVES AS DICTATED BY THEIR CIRCUMSTANCES WHICH COULD BE DUE TO FINANCIAL CONSTRAITS CAUSED BY BENEFIT RE-ASSESSMENT, REDUNDANCY OR UNEXPECTED EVENTS WHICH LEAVE THEM STRUGGLING TO COPE. ASSESSMENT IS DONE VIA EXTERNAL AGENCIES WHO ARE IN CONTACT AND WORKING WITH INDIVIDUALS / FAMILIES AND KNOW THEIR EXACT CIRCUMSTANCES. IN DOING SO WE WILL SEEK TO ASSIST INDIVDUALS AND FAMILIES IN THE RELIEF OF POVERTY BY GIVING THEM THE MEANS TO FEED THEMSLEVES FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, THIS ALLOWS THEM TO ASSESS THEIR SITUATION, SEEK HELP, AND TAKE MEASURES TO MOVE FORWARD. TO OFFER RELIGIOUS SUPPORT TO THOSE IN CRISIS. 1 WE SHOW THEM WE CARE FOR THEM THROUGH WHAT WE GIVE BUT ALSO BY LISTENING AND BEING THERE FOR THEM. AS A CHRISTIAN ORGANISATION WE ALSO SHARE WITH THOSE WHO ARE REFERRED THAT THEY HAVE A SPIRITUAL NATURE THROUGH THE GIFT OF A GOSPEL BOOKLET AND LITERATURE THAT ALLOWS THEM TO EXPLORE THIS ASPECT OF THEIR BEING FOR THEMSELVES AND MAKE A LIFE STYLE CHOICE. THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED BY REASON OF AGE, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR OTHER DISADVANTAGE. THE PEOPLE WE HELP COME FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE AND HAVE DIFFERENT REASONS, SOMETIMES INTERLINKING, FOR THEIR PARTICULAR CRISIS. FOR EXAMPLE THEY MAY SUFFER FROM ILLHEALTH OR A DISABILITY, WHICH THEN MEANS THAT THEY HAVE GREATER LIVING COSTS AND, PARTICULARLY OVER THE WINTER CANNOT AFFORD TO HEAT THEIR HOME AND EAT. WE PROVIDE RELIEF DURING THIS PARTICULAR LY STRESSFUL TIME. THE SERVICE AIMS TO RELIEVE THE WORRIES OF BEING ABLE TO EAT AND/OR FEED A FAMILY DURING ANY PERIOD OF CRISIS, WHILE HELPING TO POINT PEOPLE IN THE DIRECTION OF FURTHER HELP.
