Description
To promote the benefits of participation in sport, (and 'sport' means sport which involves physical skill and exertion), in particular football, in Glasgow and the surrounding area. The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended, and only in relation to recreational facilities or activities, which are: (i) primarily intended for persons who have need of them by reason of their age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, or (ii) Available to members of the public at large or to male or female members of the public at large. To promote social inclusion in Glasgow and the surrounding area by way of participation in sporting activity. To advance education and active citizenship in Glasgow and the surrounding area by means of increased access to sporting activities and facilities. To work with community police and safety officers towards utilising participation in sporting activity as a method of crime reduction. To promote health and wellbeing throughout the community by way of participation in sporting activity and education regarding the positive benefits of exercise and good nutrition. To use sport, in particular football, as a means to engage with unemployed individuals in order to improve self esteem and increase employability through the acquisition of transferable skills. To work with local projects and charities to provide a football related interaction service for people with disabilities, improving self esteem, health and wellbeing, football skills, SAQ - motor skills to improve people with a Physical disabilities Movement, communication skills and employability.
