To preserve, restore and improve the environment in Whitburn and District through the provision, maintenance and improvement of public open spaces and other public amenities. To relieve unemployment, particularly among the residents of Whitburn and District for the public benefit in such ways as may be thought fit including assistance to find employment. To promote training particularly among the residents of Whitburn and District, and with particular reference to skills which will assist the participants in obtaining paid employment. To encourage stimulate and support volunteering principally in Whitburn and District. To promote and protect the wellbeing, mental and physical health of the residents of Whitburn and District and to assist in the relief of ill health and provision of health education of such residents. To advance education through the provision and supervision of learning orientated activities for school and pre-school children. To promote, establish, operate and support other schemes and projects of similar charitable nature for the benefit of the community in Whitburn and District. The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture of the local area. To provide relief for those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage
