a) To protect, enhance, improve and preserve Maybole Castle and to utilise the Castle and grounds for the benefit of the residents of Maybole and the wider North Carrick area. b) To promote the significance of the heritage and culture of North Carrick to local people and to a wider and international audience, recognising the importance of Maybole Castle and the strong history of the area, which it represents. c) To encourage a ‘Sense of Pride’ and ‘Civic Responsibility’ among local people. d) To act as a catalyst for regeneration, citizenship and community engagement in Maybole and its wider rural environs. e) To promote and encourage education and training (particularly to young people, unemployed and socially excluded groups), especially in the areas of environment protection and management, heritage, culture and the arts.
