(a) To advance education primarily among the residents of Dunoon (and In particular those resldent in the areas of Ardenslate, West Mllton and The Glebe) together wth those resident In such other areas as the directors may determine from time to time ('the Operating Area'), ' including the provision of training in skllls of all hnds (particularly such slulls as will asslst the partlclpants in obtaining pald employment), (b) To advance health particularly among residents of the Operating Area, (c) To advance citizenship and community development wthin the Operating Area, (d) To preserve, restore and improve the environment particularly within the Operating Area through the provlslon, maintenance or improvement of pubilc parks, public open space and other pubhc amenities and other environmental and townscape projects, and In doing so, to seek wherever appropriate (but subject to appropriate safeguards to ensure that the public benefit so arising clearly outweighs any pnvate benefit thereby conferred on pnvate landowners) to carry out works of reclamation, remediation, restoration and other operations to facllitate the use for those purposes of land whose use has been prevented or restncted because of previous use, (e) To relleve unemployment particularly among residents of the Operating Area for the public benefit In such ways as may be thought fit, includlng assistance to find employment, (f) To relieve those in need particularly within the Operating ,Area by reason of age, ill health, disabtlity, financial hardship, alcohol or drugs dependency, or other disadvantage, (g) To provide recreahonal facilities particularly wthin the Operatng Area, and organise recreational activities particularly wlthln the Operating Area, wth such facilities/activies being available to members of the public at large with the object of irnproving thelr conditions of life.
