Description
The objects for which the Company is established are (subject always to the overriding qualification contained in Article 3.5):- 5.1.1 for the advancement of the education of the general public, without distinction of sex, sexuality or of political, religious or other opinions, by provision of the Museum comprising the existing collection together' with such other objects, specimens or collections as may from time to time be acquired in accordance with the provisions of these Article ('the Collection'), in respect of which there will be a strong presumption against the subsequent disposal of any specimen. 5.1.2 to provide for the protection of the specimens comprised in the collection from deterioration, damage, loss, accidental destruction or unauthorised disposal. 5.1.3 to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Caithness and its environs without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved. 5.1.4 to adopt a written Collections Development Policy and review it at least every five years, which policy shall define the types of Specimens which the Company wishes to include in the Collection and the geographical area from which such Specimens may be drawn. and 5.1.5 to maintain an accurate and current Inventory of all Specimens acquired for, or removed from, the Collection.
