Description
To relieve poverty and distress primarily among the residents of Lanarkshire and its environs ('the Operating Area') and, in particular, those in necessitous circumstances by the provision of furniture, electrical equipment, household goods, clothing, toys and/or other items. To promote and preserve the natural environment for the benefit of the general public and in particular to promote, advance, manage and effect the provision, development and improvement of facilities for waste minimisation and to assist in the adoption of practices which are directed towards reducing unnecessary depletion of natural resources and/ or reducing the volume of non-recycled waste. To advance education primarily among the residents of the Operating Area particularly in the field of waste management. To help young people resident in the Operating Area to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacity so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and as members of society. To promote the social welfare of homeless men in the Operating Area and in particular to seek to increase an awareness of the needs of homeless people. (b) to provide appropriate accommodation for homeless men (6) To promote, establish and! or operate other schemes of a charitable nature for the benefit of the community within the Operating Area.
