To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Achmore and the surrounding area, without distinction of sex or of political or other opinions, by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and religion, and provide or assist in the provision of, facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation so that the conditions of life of the aforementioned inhabitants may be improved.
