Description
The objects of the Society shall be to advance research into the causes, inheritance and management of osteogenesis imperfecta (herein called the disorder) and similar disorders and to publish the useful results of such research and to relieve persons suffering from such disorders and in furtherance of those object but not further or otherwise the Society shall have the following powers: (a) To assist patients and relatives of patients with these disorders to get in contact with each other and to exchange information. (b) To advise on sources of accurate genetic advice. (c) As far as possible to ensure that patients and relatives are aware of any welfare benefits to which they may be entitled and to inform of other sources of help. (d) To issue a regular newsletter in furtherance of the above objects. (e) Generally to assist sufferers and their families and the medical profession in the treatment of the disorder and any similar disorder.
