- The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To advance education and to provide, or assist, in the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation, where such provision or assistance in provision: 4.1.1 is in the interests of Social Welfare 4.1.2 is made with the object of improving the conditions of life of the members of the community in the area of benefits: The area within the jurisdiction of Corstorphine Community Council (as at 1 st March 2015), Map of area to be kept in the organisation office And for those purposes to associate with the City of Edinburgh Council and any successor organisations (hereinafter referred to as 'the Council'), voluntary organisations and inhabitants in the area of benefit. 4.2 To co-operate with the Council in establishing, maintaining and managing a youth and community centre situated in the area of benefit (to be known as the 'Corstorphine Youth and Community Centre') which may be provided or grant aided by the Council insofar as it is established, maintained and managed for the attainment of clause 4.1 above.
