Description
To carry on the services presently provided by The Alpha Project to physically impaired people between the ages of 18 and 65 who reside in the Cumbernauld and Kilsyth area and who become Members as defined including individual support for Members who are experiencing difficulties in achieving their objectives as a result of physical impairment, in particular, the Company will promote and develop the following: the provision of a Rehabilitation/ Assessment Service, the promotion of personal independence, a counselling service for disabled people and their relatives, the provision of a comprehensive information service relating to disability, the development of educational opportunities for disabled people, the development of social/recreational opportunities for disabled people, the development, liaison and promotion of employment initiatives for disabled people, the promotion of community integration of disabled people and the encouragement of a greater level of participation in community activity, the development of self-help groups and to stimulate interest in issues relating to disabled peoples rights within society.
