Description
The objects for which the Company is established are: 1) To provide for the benefit of the public, assistance through counselling, support and education to individuals who have experienced problems related to their misuse of alcohol. 2) To provide for the benefit of the public, assistance through counselling, support and education to the partners and other family members of those who misuse alcohol. 3) To provide counselling, support and education to individuals who present with histories of drug misuse in addition to alcohol misuse. 4) To raise awareness of alcohol through the provision of education and training to professionals working in Health, Social Services, Education, the Prison Service, the Voluntary Sector and any other agency with an interest in alcohol or the wider addictions field . 5) To design and provide specialist day programmes, residential programmes and other group interventions to meet the needs of individuals with long-term histories of Alcohol Abuse and Alcohol Dependence. 6) To provide specialist services, including residential accommodation, to individuals who are homeless. 7) To provide specialist services, inc luding residential accommodation to individuals whose mental health has been adversely affected by alcohol misuse. 8) To promote the prevention and early detection of alcohol related problems and to assist individuals experiencing such problems. 9) To contribute to the public health agenda by challenging attitudes which relate to the social necessity of drinking. 10) To promote the advancement of counselling as an intervention in partnership with professional bodies, colleges and other places of education.
