To promote and encourage the following objects by charitable means, but not otherwise (a) To stimulate public interest in, and care for, the beauty, history and character of the district and its surroundings, being that peninsula bounded on the West by Loch Long and on the East by the Gareloch including the communities of Portincaple and Coulport but excluding the community of Garelochhead.
