Description

S.T.E.P.S. Mental Health promotes community driven supportive approaches to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding Suicide and Mental Health. S.T.E.P.S. Mental Health will endeavour to tackle the issue of Suicide and Mental Health with the inhabitants of Draperstown and Mid Ulster Council Area without distinction of sex, race or political, religious or other opinions by (1) To raise awareness through education and prevention strategies of Suicide and Mental Health in the Draperstown and Mid Ulster Council Area (2) To reduce stigma by having a community wide presence that encourages talking about Suicide and Mental Health (3) To facilitate communities to enable them to access a range of supports to improve and maintain Mental Health (4) To understand and value the connection between physical and mental health by taking a preventative approach (5) To actively build a network of partners who share S.T.E.P.S. vision.
