Description
To raise awareness among the older peoples sector of the Foyle area of County Derry of the positive social, physical and mental benefits of participating in active ageing programmes. Assist in the establishment of new, and the fostering of existing groups as required. Make available to groups and all interested parties, information on active ageing. Provide advice, training and practical support to groups and older people as required. Assist and be proactive in the further development and promotion of active ageing programmes locally. To carry out research and share ongoing developments in active ageing globally and promote findings among groups and older people locally.
