Description

Whereas at a meeting of representatives of The Royal Irish Fusiliers (hereinafter referred to as "the Regiment") held on the sixth day of October One thousand nine hundred and eighty four those present expressed their concern regarding the future of the Regimental museum (hereinafter referred to as "the Museum") and thereupon declared their intention of holding together the traditions of the Regiment and of perpetuating its deeds and for such purpose agreed to appoint trustees (namely the above-mentioned individual Trustees) for the purpse of holding the contents of the Museum and any future acquisitions thereto (hereinafter called "the Regimental Collection") UPON TRUST as hereinafter mentioned the Trustees have consented to act in the trusts hereof. For the purpose of giving effect to the hereinbefore declared intention of upholding the traditions of the Regiment and of perpetuating its deeds.
