Description
The Company's objects are specifically restricted to the relief of poverty, sickness and the aged and the promotion of the benefit of the inhabitants (hereinafter called the beneficiaries) of the Drumnakilly area and its environs of Omagh, Co Tyrone (hereinafter called the areas of benefit) without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants and in particular: a) To establish, secure, maintain and manage or co-operate with any local authority in the maintenance and management of a centre or centres in the area of benefit for activities promoted by the company (hereinafter called the centre); b) To promote the benefit of children and young people in the area of benefit and educate and assist such young people through their leisure-time activities so as to develop their physical, mental and emotional capacities so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society so that their conditions of life may be improved; c) To promote or assist in promoting community capacity building programmes and projects for the benefit of the inhabitants within the area of benefit who have need of such assistance as a result of their youth, age, disability or infirmity, or social and economic circumstances, an an effort to increase the abilities, skills and self-confidence of such communities in the area of benefit; d) To advance any other exclusively charitable purposes as the directors, may from time to time, decide in accordance with the law of charity.
