Description

The organisation's purposes are: (a) To assist, facilitate or enable Rotarians and Rotary Clubs or Groups in Rotary Scotland South to plan, prepare, organise and deliver projects within Scotland and internationally ('Projects') in accordance with the current Areas of Focus of Rotary International, namely: (i) Promoting peace. (ii) Fighting disease, thus working towards advancement of health and saving of lives (iii) Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene. thus working towards advancement of health, and the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage (iv) Saving mothers and children, thus working towards advancement of health and saving of lives (v) Supporting education, thus working towards advancement of education (vi) Growing local economies thus working on prevention and/or relief of poverty and the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage (vii) Protecting the environment. thus working towards advancement of environmental protection or improvement, and also (viii) Such other Projects that are reasonably analogous to the foregoing purposes as the Board and the members of the Organisation shall approve.
