The association has been formed to represent the interests of Malayaless in Scotland and in particular Edinburgh to: a) advance the education of Malayalee children in the Malayalam language b) advance the education in the areas of family unity and development c) promote Kerala arts, heritage and culture through the celebration of Malayalees culture, arts, dance and traditional food and wear. d) promote religious or racial harmony by actively providing opportunities for members of the Malayalee community to integrate into the wider Scottish community. e) help relieve those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantage both by supporting those in need either locally or in India.
