PURPOSES 4 The Platinum Jubilee Community Garden is a non-profit, Community based organisation, focused on providing and managing a community garden open to all of the Banff, Macduff and environs Community (hereinafter referred to as the Community). Specifically, this will include: 4.1 To provide and manage garden space facilities in Macduff for the use of the Community. 4.2 To promote both physical and mental wellbeing through the medium of outdoor gardening activities. 4.3 To contribute to food security through the provision of facilities (plots) to the community enabling the growth of organically grown fresh fruit and vegetables. Plot fees will apply as determined by the board. 4.4 To contribute to food security through growing produce for donation to food banks, meal programs and other food security programmes. 4.5 To facilitate the advancement and provision of training and support to the community in gardening skills, food growth and preparation. 4.6 To provide space for young people to participate in gardening activities to enhance their knowledge and advance their practical skills. 4.7 To be involved in the promotion and provision of anything designed to improve the standard and quality of lifestyle of the community.
