Description
4.1 The preservation, protection of life, and promotion of recovery of persons in the Belhelvie parish and/or surrounding areas by responding to medical emergencies as dispatched by the Scottish Ambulance Service. 4.2 To enable volunteer First Responders to provide defibrillation, CPR and other life-saving interventions in accordance with their Scottish Ambulance Service training. 4.3 To work in partnership with the Scottish Ambulance Service to select, train and provide assessments for volunteer first responders. 4.4 To aim to provide early life saving intervention where dispatched by the Scottish Ambulance Service to an emergency whilst an ambulance is on its way or unavailable/unable to reach the casualty within a reasonable response time. 4.5 To aim to provide first responder cover 365 days a year in the Belhelvie parish area, (subject to volunteer availability) 4.6 To raise awareness in the community of: 4.6.1 ?The Chain of Survival? through early intervention as a means of increasing the chances of saving life. 4.6.2 Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) locations and dispel any inhibition on the use this equipment. 4.6.3 Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and associated basic lifesaving first aid skills. 4.7 Raise funds to 4.7.1 Ensure the volunteer Community First Responders have all of the equipment they need to carry out the aims of the organisation. 4.7.2. Maintain defibrillators in the Belhelvie parish area. 4.7.3. Add new defibrillators in the Belhelvie parish area
