Description

  1. The Organisation has been formed to benefit the community of Banchory, (the “Community”), with the following purposes (the “Purposes”): 4.1 The advancement of public participation in sport in the Banchory area, by providing and maintaining local and accessible purpose built bike trails and skills area where members of the community and visiting cyclists can learn and develop their mountain biking skills in a safe and controlled environment, encouraging increased physical exercise, including walking and cycling to the trails. 4.2 The provision of recreational facilities in the Banchory area, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended, by allowing un-restricted access to all members of the community to use the facilities for their intended purpose and in particular enabling youngsters and those without access to transport to access purpose built and controlled trails that they might not otherwise be able to access 4.3 Advancement of environmental protection or improvement, by restoring woodlands, and improving woodland habitats, to conserve and enhance Scotland?s biodiversity and help mitigate climate change. and involving members of the local community in planning and decision-making, and ensuring that the benefits of community woodlands are available to all
