Description

7.1 To advance the recognition of folk drama as an important part of intangible cultural heritage, and to work towards the survival of this art form as a part of that heritage. Further, to re-establish a sense of community by bringing live entertainment into local events. 7.2 To promote the interest of children in drama by performing a short piece in demotic language and with easily-understood references and, via workshops, to offer participants an opportunity to experience performing in a collaborative and non-judgemental atmosphere. 7.3 To provide a sense of continuity , and to reconnect people with a disappearing past by stimulating people to talk to older relatives who may have seen or performed this piece or a similar work, and, by performing at workshops, to co-operate with and offer support to other groups who are working in the field of performing folk drama. 7.4 To provide opportunities for people with an interest in performance but who have limited access to conventional performances, or who have a physical or other condition which does not enable them to perform, to take part in live performance. There are very few conditions which we would not be able to incorporate if someone really wished to participate.
