The organisation?s purposes are: to advance culture and heritage in the Highlands by: 1.the provision and organisation of an annual military tattoo event for members of the public, the local community and members of the HM Armed Forces. 2. promoting public awareness of the role of HM Armed Forces and of the contribution made to the United Kingdom by those who serve and have served in HM Armed Forces through the increased availability of, and facilitating public access to, information. 3.protecting, maintaining and educating the public of Scotland?s local and national cultures. and to relieve those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other similar disadvantage by: 1.giving grants or other forms of assistance, financial or otherwise, to HM Armed Forces community-related services and, separately, charities and other organisations which have an association with HM Armed Forces. and 2. promoting activities and initiatives which relieve the distress and disadvantage experienced by retired members of HM Armed Forces and their families by working in partnership and in liaison with other support agencies and bodies including, without limitation, those agencies and bodies within the Fort George area.
