Description

4 The main aim of the Jabulani Project is to act as a conduit for volunteers to work with organisations in South Africa, to advance citizenship or community development. 4.1 We promote diversity and equality through our Volunteer Support scheme which empowers young black volunteers to take a more active role in their society and to be able to address economic disparities. 4.2 We aim to relieve poverty by providing food for street kids in Durban, supporting soup kitchens in Umlazi and helping provide food for children supported by Bobbi Bear in Illovo. 4.3 We aim to advance education through providing Literacy and Numeracy classes for the street kids in SISCO and training South African volunteers and teachers in issues such as Emotional Literacy.
