Description
The Company shall operate for the public benefit m pursuance of the following charitable purposes or objects: 3.1.1 To advance citizenship, including the promotion of CIVIC responsibility, particularly among those living in the Operating Area with a view to improving the quality of experience for those living, working or visiting the Operating Area. 3.1.2 To advance environmental protection and improvement within the Operating Area, through: - 3.1.2.1 establishing, coordinating, supporting and/or managing schemes and projects which are directed towards improvements to public realm or other open space within the Operating Area (which may include, without limitation, improving the cleanliness of open space) and/or the creation of new areas/facilities for public use within the Operating Area. and 3.1.2.2 encouraging the adoption of more sustainable practices within the Operating Area in relation to waste disposal/recycling, energy use/carbon reduction and renewable energy. 3.1.3 To advance community safety and security, the reduction of crime and reduction of the fear of crime within the Operating Area for the benefit of the general public. 3.1.4 To advance heritage, and in particular to restore, preserve and enhance buildings and other structures of architectural and/or historical significance within the Operating Area. 3.1.5 To advance arts and culture through (a) establishing and operating a gallery space and artists workspace, and (b) coordinating, supporting and/or managing projects and events which contribute towards a more vibrant arts and cultural experience for those living, working or visiting the Operating Area. 3.1.6 To advance education, training and development, and in particular to increase knowledge and expertise in urban management.
