Description
The Foundation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: 4.1 to establish and facilitate innovative and collaborative partnerships to build capacity in post-conflict and developing countries, with the aim of relieving poverty and promoting peace 4.2 to advance the education and training of children and young people in post-conflict and developing countries 4.3 to educate individuals about the issues facing individuals in post-conflict and developing countries 4.4 to advance community development 4.5 to advance human rights, conflict resolution and reconciliation 4.6 to relieve those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. 4.7 to advance any of the above purposes or objects by the giving of grants or loans or the provision of credit or other forms of assistance, financial or otherwise, to persons or organizations undertaking projects, initiatives and/or activities which further any of the above purposes or objects and which are wholly charitable within the meaning of the Taxes Act and section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005.
