Description

4.1 To advance the Christian faith by all means consistent with the Christian Bible, through words and action. 4.2 To advance education, particularly among young people, in the urban priority areas of Glasgow and elsewhere in Scotland. 4.3 To relieve and prevent poverty and/or unemployment by any means, including providing encouragement, training and support with a view to helping people develop the skills required to obtain paid employment. 4.4 To advance the physical and mental health of those who live in urban priority areas, particularly by tackling addiction and related issues. 4.5 To partner with local churches, schools, community groups, the Police and other agencies who are committed to transforming urban priority areas in a common effort to improve life for those who live in these areas. 4.6 To advance community development by encouraging personal responsibility and responsible citizenship in all areas of life and challenging anti-social behaviour and social exclusion. 4.7 To promote the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual development of children and their families, helping them overcome difficult circumstances and develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to reach their full potential in all areas of life. 4.8 To provide or promote the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for those for whom the facilities are intended. 4.9 To relieve those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.
