Description
(a) to educate, train, rehabilitate and assist persons and in particular young persons who through their social or economic circumstances or learning difficulties are in need and unable to gain employment or who wish to further their education (all of which persons are hereinafter referred to as 'the Beneficiaries') by providing them with worthwhile and realistic, advice, support, training, education and work experience in temporary or full-time employment (whether by way of remunerative employment, training allowance or other means) such employment not to endure at any one place of employment at one time for a period in excess of two years), with a view to preparing and quahfying the Beneficiaries for regular employment and advancing them in life. (b) to promote the physical and mental development of the Beneficiaries so as to enable them to grow to full maturity and achieve their full potential as individuals and members of society and so that their conditions of life may be improved. (c) to establish training and residential centres and to engage people in those centres with a view to developing and improving the Beneficiaries ability to work and to earn a living in modem society and to develop their life and social skills and aptitudes with a view to becoming responsible citizens. (d) To advance the education of the public about the needs of the Beneficiaries the causes of learning difficulties and the means whereby such difficulties may be overcome. (e) To relieve the needs of the Beneficiaries who are in need of care. (f) To advise (where it assists the Beneficiary and is deemed appropriate to do so) the family of the Beneficiary.
