Description

1)To support, promote and improve the provision, availability and standard of pre-school education, nursery care and generally to promote the health, safety, education and care of young children for the benefit of the public. 2)To provide and to promote and procure the provision of such other charitable services and assistance for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Region the Association may, from time to time, think fit including (without prejudice to the foregoing generality) services and assistance for the advancement of education and the promotion of good health. 3)To develop partnership within the public, private and voluntary sectors and promote joint initiatives in relation to the provision of services for children, including, acting as a 'voice' for non-public sector nurseries and after school clubs, ensuring members are kept up to date with all policies and legislation pertaining to early years settings and ensuring early years practitioners are well informed and well trained. 4)To promote training opportunities and childcare and education to member nurseries, after school clubs and early years practitioners through the development of lifelong learning. 5)To support and promote the development of multi-agency partnerships with other organisations involved in similar sectors of activity to ensure the promotion of high standards in the provision of health, safety, education and care to be met within the context of family needs and the community.
