Description
- The objects of the Trust are: (a) the relief of unemployed young persons and other young persons in necessitous circumstances in particular by the development of youth and community programmes demonstrating care and calculated to advance their education and provide facilities for training, vocational preparation, counselling, employment advice and other support services calculated to improve their employment prospects and to develop their capacities to grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and that their condition of life may be improved by all or any of the following means: (i) the relief of poverty in such ways as may be thought fit. (ii) the relief of unemployment in such ways as may be thought fit, including assistance to find employment. (iii) the advancement of education, training or retraining, particularly amongst unemployed people and providing unemployed people with work experience. (iv) the creation of training and employment opportunities by the provision of workspace, buildings and/or land for use on favourable terms. (v) the provision of housing for those who are in conditions of need and the improvement of housing in the public and private sectors or in charitable ownership provided that such power shall not extend to relieving and local authorities or other bodies of a statutory duty to provide or improve housing. (vi) the maintenance, improvement or provision of public amenities. (vii) the presentation of buildings or sites of historic or architectural importance. (viii) the provision or assistance in the provision of recreational facilities for the public at large and/or those who, by reasons of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances, have need for such facilities. (ix) the protection or conservation of the environment. (x) the provision of public health and social care facilities and childcare.
