Description

(1) To promote the benefit of inhabitants of Renfrewshire and, in particular, the advancement of education, the furtherance of health and the relief of poverty, sickness and distress by the promotion of voluntary service and developing volunteering within the area. (2) In furtherance of the above objects but not further or otherwise the Company shall have the following powers:- (i) To identify and disseminate examples of good practice in volunteering. (ii) To promote and develop volunteering within the Local (Renfrewshire) Authority Area. (iii) To collect and disseminate information on volunteering. (iv) To contribute to the development and delivery of support and training for volunteers and volunteer engagers. (v) To recruit and refer volunteers to agencies and where appropriate match them to tasks and roles. (vi) To develop new opportunitise and projects involving volunteers. (vii) To network with other agencies and encourage community involvement.
