Description
a) To provide technical assistance to the youth, carry out feasibility studies, design development programmes for youth related activities in the areas of project assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and report writing. b) To undertake or cause to be undertaken within the organization or otherwise in collaboration with other individuals and organizations research on socio-economic matters related to sexual abuse, early pregnancy, abortion, drug abuse, alcoholism and their related effects on the youths. c) To create HIV/AIDS awareness, support and collaborate with other organizations working with the youth to combat and reduce the incidence of HIV/AIDS. d) To foster socio-economic activities with special emphasis on youth and girl child education in areas of career path awareness, training, knowledge dissemination, guidance and economic support. e) To administer and supervise project implementation, including writing progress reports, financial reports and any information as required by the donor, youth committees, Government and any interested party according to agreed guidelines, policies and procedures. f) To identify youth training needs, and sponsor them to colleges and institutions and to identify and assist in setting up, re-organising or improving vocational training institutions with a view to enabling the youth engage in gainful entrepreneurial activities. g) To promote general objectives on environmental protection, drawing on the knowledge, experience and traditional practices of the indigenous people and supporting their roles as environmental managers. h) To assist women and youth groups in establishing income-generating projects/activities through technical inputs and credit facilities.
