Description
The relief of poverty in Moray and its environs and the advancement of education of the public by raising awareness of poverty issues and ways of tackling them. In furtherance thereof but not otherwise the Association shall seek to: (a) Provide a forum for individuals and groups experiencing poverty directly or involved in poverty issues. By providing and sharing relevant information and advice particularly within Moray but also on a national and global level. (b) Act as a collective voice and support network for people experiencing poverty. Acknowledging the feelings of alienation, loss of control and confidence, and the health/mental issues, that arise out of poverty. (c) Raise awareness of poverty issues within the membership through appropriate training sessions, and through undertaking themed research into poverty in Moray.
