Description
To preserve, protect and improve the mental and physical health of individuals resident in that part of the east end of Glasgow which falls within the boundaries of the area served by Glasgow City Council ('the Operating Area') and to assist in the relief of ill health and the provision of health education for such individuals. To advance education particularly among individuals resident in the Operating Area and, in particular, so as to develop their physical, mental, social and spiritual capacities so that their conditions and quality of life may be improved. To promote training in skills of all kinds, particularly such skills as will assist individuals resident in the Operating Area in obtaining paid employment. To provide facilities in the Operating Area for recreation and other leisure time occupation available to the public at large with a view to improving their conditions and quality of life. To promote, establish, operate and/or support other schemes of a charitable nature for the benefit of the residents of the Operating Area.
