The aims of the Trust are (in partnership with other individuals and organisations where appropriate). To advance the education of the public in and their understanding and appreciation of Arbroath's history by research, exhibitions, displays and other means of furthering that purpose. To advance the notion of community development through public participation and leadership in projects of a community nature and benefit. To advance the arts and culture by supporting and arranging projects and events designed to provide opportunities for local residents and visitors to experience traditional and modern culture and art. To advance public participation in sporting events designed to piovide fun attractions and encourage the adoption of healthier lifestyles. To increase the provision of recreational facilities and events to encourage healthier lifestyles and provide opportunities for all. To advance the appreciation of the environment and wildlife in the Arbroath area, thereby encouraging local residents to adopt a more positive and responsible attitude towards their surroundings. In furtherance of these aims to arrange various community events or projects in order to build the capacity of the individuals and organisations involved, whilst providing events or projects designed to have a positive impact on the quality of life of the people of Arbroath and surrounding rural areas.
