Description

The object of the service is to assist in the relief of sickness and infirmity in all age groups of persons resident in the transmission area of Dumbarton District Hospital Broadcasting Service. This will be achieved by providing a local broadcasting service for patients and staff in the administrative area of the Lomond and Argyll Primary Care Trust, and any other local patient facility. In the furtherance of the objects but not otherwise the service shall have the following powers: to provide regular programmes of local interest. to make these programmes available to similar Broadcasting Services. to afford a 'messenger service' to the hospitals, etc. in the transmission area. to cooperate with other organisations providing a similar service nationally and/or internationally. to maintain a central studio and administrative office. and to join the National Association of Hospital Broadcasting Organisations.
