Description
The Association is established for the following charitable object: 3.1 To relieve the poverty, further the health and advance the education of the inhabitants of Drumchapel, Glasgow and, surrounding areas through the vehicle of outdoor and adventure activities, and in furtherance of the above object the Association shall seek: (a) To provide activity courses geared to developing academic education, social education and health awareness, in the participants as well as providing personal skills training opportunities aimed at increasing the employment potential of the area. (b) To develop leisure interests which will enhance the outlook and help raise the self esteem of those worst affected by the effects of deprivation, for example, the young unemployed, those with addiction problems, the disabled, single parents and others. (c) To enhance through the activities of the Association the opportunities of any other community group, voluntary or statutory, to achieve its charitable or educational aims.
