Description

The objects of the Society shall be to promote and encourage interest in, and care of, the history, beauty and character of the area of Banchory and its surroundings and, in particular, by charitable means and not otherwise: (a) To promote public interest in and awareness of matters of local history, objects or records of local historical interest and buildings, structures and earthworks of local historical interest. (b) To monitor the wellbeing of historical records, artefacts, buildings, monuments and earthworks and to monitor and encourage the satisfactory statutory or informal protection of these. (c) To encourage, promote and create information archives and collections of items of local historical interest.
