Description

The Trustees shall hold the Trust Funds for such purposes as are recognised by law as exclusively charitable for the purposes of taxation and to the extent that the same are charitable shall be applied for such one or more of the following purposes ('the Purposes') as the Trustees in their sole discretion consider fit namely to raise, receive, hold, distribute and donate funds for the purposes of:- (a) providing, constructing, improving or managing or encouraging or facilitating the provision, construction or improvement of houses for persons in necessitous circumstances. (b) providing, constructing, improving or managing for persons who are aged or infirm or disabled or handicapped (whether mentally or physically) and in need thereof, housing and any associated amenities specially designed or adapted to meet the disabilities and requirements of such persons. (c) providing for aged persons in need thereof services of any description in arranging or carrying out works of maintenance, repair or improvement to their houses or encouraging or facilitating the carrying out of such works. (d) providing care, support and amenities for such persons as are mentioned in sub paragraphs ( a), (b) and (c). (e) providing, maintaining, repairing, equipping and staffing day centres for the benefit of such persons as are mentioned in sub paragraphs (a) , (b) and (c). (f) the carrying on of any activity permitted under Section 4 of the Housing Association Act 1985 provided always that any such activity is charitable in law all as the Trustees in their absolute discretion think fit.
