Description
(a) To celebrate the anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns by a social gathering to honour the memory and work of our National Poet. (b) To encourage and promote knowledge of his name and works and of Scottish history and literature by means of a schools competition and to award prizes at a concert to take place on a suitable date after the schools competition. (c) To encourage young persons who show talent and promise in the field of music, literature, art or drama or any other of the arts, and who are experiencing financial difficulty in pursuing their talent and promise in their chosen field. Withour prejudice to the generality, the Club shall have the power to provide financial assistance to such children.
