The production of an annual Stud Book recording pedigrees and enabling the purity of the breed to be maintained. (c) Furthering in every way the prosperity of the breed so that it continues to be an important part of the diversity of the rural environment. (d) Promoting high standards of stockmanship and animal welfare by encouraging classes at agricultural shows and by providing prizes to encourage the widest participation in the drive to improve standards.'
