Description

The objects of the Federation shall be to advance the education of the public in local history and in particular the historyof Ayrshire by means of research, study, meetings, lectures and other related activities and in furtherance thereof:- a To promote co-operation and the interchange of views upon matters relating to the research, study and dissemination of the history of Ayrshire. b To hold meetings, lectures and conferences, organise visits, conduct research, publish newsletters, journals, books, maintain or support libraries and undertake such other activities as may be considered appropriate in furtherance of the above objects. c To co-operate with one or more other organisations to carry out such activities where appropriate.
