Description
The Trustees shall pay or apply the income of the Trust Fund and shall have power in their discretion at any time or times to pay or apply the whole or any part or parts of the capital thereof for the charitable purpose of advancement of education, in particular, through the provision of Scholarships to pupils or former-pupils of the Edinburgh Academy, who have been accepted to study, or are already studying, as undergraduates at a University within Scotland or any other part of the United Kingdom. Declaring that the expression 'charitable purpose' shall mean a charitable purpose under section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 which is also regarded as a charitable purpose in relation to the application of the Taxes Acts.
