Description
(a) The provision of a suitable Memorial to the life and work of the late Charles Murray, the Author of the 'Hamewith' Poems which would consist of the provision of suitable entrance gates with Memorial Plaques bearing a verse of his poetry at the Murray Park at Alford and a fund for the provision of prizes, bursaries, or such like for competition in schools in the North-East of Scotland so as to encourage the study and writing of Doric and Scots Literature, including Poetry, and to foster a love of Doric Literature and of the habits and history of the North-East of Scotland, and generally for the achievement of these and such other purposes as by law may be deemed to be charitable. (b) To make provision for the carrying out of the above objects or any of them and for the general administration of the Association and to carry out the said objects conjunctly or any one or more of them independently as may be desired.
