Description
The purposes of the Guild are: To promote, encourage and foster public interest in the study, practice and knowledge of the Arts within the area and other dramatic, literary, musical, educational and cultural purposes connected therewith. In furtherance of the above purposes the Guild shall seek: (a) To assist in organising, managing, presenting and producing stage plays, concerts, art exhibitions and other presentations as will advance public education in the Arts. (b) To make arrangement, plans and programmes either in conjunction with local dramatic, musical, cultural, artistic and educational societies and organisations or on its own initiative , (c) To co-operate with the local authorities and local dramatic, musical, cultural, artistic and educational societies and organisations for the establishment of local concert halls, theatres, arts centres and similar facilities. (d) To do all other acts as are incidental for the achievement of the purposes.
