The society is established to form and maintain an orchestra for promoting the practice Scottish Music especially Reels and Strathspeys in order that a) The community interest in such music shall be encouraged and advanced by any way of public concerts given by the Society or under its auspices from time to time, and b) The traditional fiddle playing of such music shall likewise be preserved and encouraged.
